Spice Up Your Winter Style

One of my biggest fashion issues used to be routed in the winter, and that was because I did not truly understand winter fashion. Winter is now my favorite season for fashion, because of faux fur coats, sweaters, layers, and how fashion is always more glam towards the holidays. Winter fashion essentials contain a wide variety of fabrics and accessories, some of my favorites will be listed below.

Faux Fur Coats. Faux fur coats happen to be on the top of my list for multiple reasons. Firstly, faux fur is a must when it comes to winter fashion, because of the warmth it gives to you, but also the fashionable side of it. You can purchase faux fur coats in multiple colors from brown to pink to black and white together. I, personally, prefer neutral colored coats instead of vibrant ones, but vibrant is good for party occasions and can be incorporated into various outfits. Continuing, these coats go well with boots, mules, and even sneakers. Plus, these faux fur coats make to be a luxurious looking accessory, or even your main piece.

Tweed. Tweed reminds me deeply of the winter; With the hints of sparkle in the stitching, tweed can make for parties or the office. Tweed can be dressed up or left casual, depending on how accessorized. Most tweed goes well with black tights and some gorgeous ankle boots. But, you can also dress tweed with black leather loafers or mules. Tweed tends to be a thicker fabric, which is perfect for the winter. Tweed is also a Chanel staple if looking for a high-end buy.

Shimmer. Mostly anything that contains shimmer (i.e. rhinestones, diamonds, sequins) is a big stand out for the winter season, and create stunning party looks, or adds elements to casual outfits. This could be in the form of jewelry, shoes, shirts, dresses, skirts, or just about any element of fashion. Another form could be through make-up, which can be a huge element of fashion if worn. Shimmer and shine adds an extra element of luxury and glam to a look that could be otherwise seen as dull, or an already amazing look.

The Color White. White is, obviously, a beautiful color for any time of the year, but white is a staple color to the winter season, in my personal opinion. Some may say that white is a draining color for the winter season, but it does not have to be. When styled with any of the above topics, or when using a white accessory, white can be considered one the most glam looks of the season (or in general). White nails are also one of my personal winter fashion staples. They match with everything, and look stunning even with color "drainage". Continuing, white provides an ultimate sense of glam, especially with these cold months. Nonetheless, you look stunning in any color during any season.

Berets. Berets pair nicely with a wide variety of casual outfits. I feel that black, white, and burgundy berets are the best for winter. Black berets are a classic, and could pair nicely with almost every color. White berets add an extra sense of that winter glam I keep mentioning. Burgundy berets pair nicely with warm tones, such as burnt orange/brown. Berets hold casual outfits to a new level of sophisticated, giving a soft touch to previous looks.
